General Consultations
Consultations
with regard to emotional and behavioural symptoms in Childhood and Adolescence
are offered. Caoimhe’s orientation is psychodynamic and this guides her understanding and recommendations with regard to emotional problems in children. Generally a four session
assessment/consultation is offered to parents and children with feedback
provided at the fourth session.
Pre-separation Consultations
Caoimhe
specializes in the area of “Children of Separated Parents” and offers a
pre-separation consultations which focuses on the emotional needs of the
children. Parents can attend jointly or separately.
Custody and Access Assessments
This
assessment can be agreed between the parents and lawyers are invited and
encouraged to participate in the process. An assessment involves 6-8 hours of
meetings with the parties. Parents will
be seen individually and jointly where possible. Children will usually be seen with each parent, as a
sibling group and individually. If a report is required a further 8-10 hours
work will be necessary.
